3 hurt in I-90 crash

Three people were hurt in a collision on Interstate 90 Saturday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened before 8 a.m. on eastbound I-90 at Island Crest Way.

An Audi was driving on the HOV lane, and a Nissan pickup was in another lane.

According to the State Patrol, the Audi passed another vehicle, lost control and hit the Nissan pickup.

Both vehicles came to a stop.

Crews responded to the scene and took two injured occupants in the Nissan pickup to Overlake Hospital.

The driver of the Audi was taken to Overlake Hospital, but he was later booked into the King County Jail.

The cause of the crash is under investigation and drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision, the State Patrol said.
