2 motorcyclists injured in I-5 crash in Tacoma

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. —

Two motorcyclists were hurt late Saturday night in a collision in Tacoma, said officials with the Washington State Patrol. 

The crash happened on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at 72nd Street at about 11 p.m. 

Troopers said they received a 911 call reporting that motorcyclists were erratically riding the area.  

According to the State Patrol, two motorcycles collided.

The motorcyclists were taken to a local hospital. One had minor injuries and the other had serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
