2 boys riding scooters hit by car in Bonney Lake

BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — Two boys escaped serious injury when they were struck by a car in Bonney Lake Thursday night.

Police said the two 12-year-olds were riding scooters around 10 p.m. when they entered the road and were struck at 75^th Street East and 194^th Avenue East.

Police said the car was driving at a slow speed and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The boys were taken to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma with minor injuries.
