Bodies recovered from Snohomish River believed to be of missing couple

Two bodies were recovered Wednesday morning from a vehicle found in the Snohomish River and police believe they are of a couple who were reported missing, said the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Deputies found a red 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage in the 6600 block of Riverview Road.

When crews pulled out the vehicle, two bodies were inside.

Authorities believe the vehicle belongs to missing Snohomish residents Jason J. Dolman, 31, and Riza P. Ysulat, 36.

Police said Dolman and Ysulat, who are dating, were reported missing Jan. 8, and their phones were turned off since then.

The vehicle was found three miles away from their home.

KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Lee Stoll spoke with Dolman’s mother, who started to worry when he didn’t come home to babysit his son.

“Jason would never leave his son.  They were together all the time.  He was his number one priority. He did everything for him," said Terri Dolman.

The identification of the bodies and cause of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Detectives will continue to investigate.
