WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — A 20-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash Saturday morning in Whatcom County, said officials with the Washington State Patrol.
The collision happened on Hannegan Road and Van Wyck Road, north of Bellingham just before 10 a.m.
According to the State Patrol, a driver in a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero was traveling northbound on Hannegan Road when a driver in a black 2000 Hyundai Elantra on Van Wyck Road pulled out in front of the Mitsubishi after making a stop.
The Mitsubishi struck the Hyundai in the driver’s side door.
The State Patrol said the driver in the Hyundai was died at the scene.
Authorities said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
