1 killed, 1 critical in Vancouver, WA plane crash

VANCOUVER, Washington — One man was killed and another suffered critical injuries after a small plane crashed in Vancouver, Washington, on Wednesday, KOIN Local 6 reported.

A reporter on scene said the crash involved a small, experimental aircraft, which crashed on takeoff, just after 4 p.m. at Pearson Field Airport.

According to [the Vancouver Fire Department], witnesses pulled one of the men out of the plane and performed CPR on him. However, he died before crews arrived at the scene. The second man was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
