2 hurt in small plane crash in Monroe

MONROE, Wash. — A small plane crash left two people hurt Friday afternoon in Monroe, police said.

The crash happened just before 5 p.m.

Police said a small plane was landing when it got off the runway into grass and flipped.

A flight instructor and student were on board the plane from Paine Field.

The student pilot was taken to the hospital and the flight instructor had minor injuries.
