1 dead, 5 injured in rollover crash near Stanwood

STANWOOD, Wash. — One person was killed and five others were injured in a rollover collision near Stanwood Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The collision happened near Pioneer Highway and Norman Road.

Authorities responded to the location after a report at 12:02 p.m. of a Chevrolet that had rolled over and was off the road.

When deputies arrived, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the person will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Five other people were injured in the collision, and they were taken to a local hospital.

The roads near the area were closed for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office to complete an investigation in the crash.
