1 arrested after man shot in leg near Snohomish



SNOHOMISH, Wash. - A 64-year-old man was arrested Friday night after a 48-year-old man was shot in the leg near Snohomish, police said.

Police were called to a house in the 300 block of South Carpenter Road at about 5:30 p.m.  after a man was shot in the leg.

According to authorities, a man said he may have walked in on a group of men burglarizing his house.

Police told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the victim described one of the men as having gray hair and driving a white Dodge truck. The man was arrested for first-degree assault.

Roads were shut down in the area as police searched for as many as seven people involved in the incident.  Four other people connected with the shooting were detained but were released.
