A lucky 1,200 members of the public could be part of Princess Eugenie's wedding day

Move over, Willy Wonka — there's a new golden ticket in town.

Princess Eugenie of York and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank are extending an invitation to members of the public to be part of their wedding day festivities, the Royal Family announced Wednesday. The ceremony will be held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, where Eugenie's cousin Prince Harry wed Duchess Meghan in May.

Eugenie, 28, is the daughter of the queen's son Prince Andrew the Duke of York and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, both 58.

Up to 1,200 attendees from throughout the United Kingdom will have the chance to take part in the nuptials set for Oct. 12. The members of the public will be able to witness the arrival of the royal family as well as the congregation, hear a live broadcast of the ceremony and see Eugenie and her groom exit the chapel after tying the knot. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds will take a brief carriage ride through part of Windsor High Street.

Attendee hopefuls will need to apply for a spot on the Windsor Castle grounds and can do so from July 18 to Aug. 8. Applicants must reside in the U.K. (if not a part of the British Forces) and be older than five.

Buckingham Palace announced the engagement of Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter and her longtime boyfriend in January, the same month they got engaged in Nicaragua. The couple was introduced by friends during a ski break in Verbier, Switzerland and have been dating for more than six years.
