Noble Cause: PurpleStride Puget Sound 2017 – Sunday, October 29, 9 a.m. KIRO7's Monique Ming Laven and the KIRO 7 team will walk to help fund, bring awareness, and a cure for pancreatic cancer. The event helps fund the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Former reporter/anchor Chris Legeros is honored and celebrated by the KIRO 7 team, he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2015. Funky Moves: Seattle Thrillers - Saturday, October. 28, 3 p.m. This event will take place at Occidental Park in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood.  From site: This year the Seattle Thrillers will be raising money for Jubilee Women's Center "Rebuilding lives, one extraordinary woman at a time". Soul Music: Earshot Jazz Festival – Friday to Sunday, October 27-29. The actual festival itself runs through November 12. There will be 50 distinctive concerts and events in various venues throughout the city through November. Fun Run: Run Scared – Sunday, October 29, 7:30 a.m. race day registration and packet pickup start. This event features a 4K walk, 5K and 10K runs. There is expected to be prizes for best costumes and even a pre-race treasure hunt with prizes. There will also be a kid's tent with games and crafts. Zoo Party: Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo – Saturday & Sunday, October 28-29, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. This event is expected to be family friendly.
