7 things to do this weekend: March 9-11

Computing Now: Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival – Saturday, Mar. 10, 12:30 – 4 p.m. The event will be a non-competitive environment that celebrates great ideas surrounding math. From site: several dozen tables of rich math problems and activities led by our volunteers, who are lovers of mathematics from different disciplines, representing mathematicians, teachers, engineers, programmers, graduate students, and more. Ever Learning: Central Sound Regional Science & Engineering Fair – Saturday, Mar. 10, starting at 8 a.m. It is a competition for 9th – 12th-grade students in King and Snohomish counties. The fair encourages innovation through student research surrounding science/engineering. The event will be held at the Bellevue College Gymnasium. Follow this link for details.

Puppy Love: Seattle Dog Show – Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 10-11, doors open at 8 a.m. Those attending will have the opportunity to learn about various breeds, as well as, see future dog handlers. The show is at the CenturyLink Field Event Center in Seattle. Follow this link for details.

Cultural Fest: Seattle Jewish Film Festival – running from Mar. 10-18. Those attending will be able to enjoy and celebrate Jewish and Israeli life, history and much more. The program will open with a dessert party and then commence with other activities. Follow this link for details.

Creative Flow: Kent Kids' Art Day – Sunday, Mar. 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a full day of hands-on art, music, fun and plenty of activity. This event will be at the Kent Commons Community Center, 525 Fourth Avenue North, Kent, Wash. Follow this link for details.

Music Majesty: HerStory – Sunday, Mar. 11, 7 p.m. From site: A preview concert honoring some of music history's most prolific, influential, yet silenced female composers. Women Who Score are celebrating International Women's Day weekend, presenting music by composers like Amy Beach, Louise Farrenc and others. This event will be held at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
